Unit No. 4 Novinki Orphanage
The Sunflowers Chernobyl Appeal carried out renovation work to Unit No. 4 at Novinki Orphanage which is home to over 35 special needs children, many of them are bed bound, some of them sadly are seriously ill.

Sunflowers Volunteers Mick Mullery, Eyrecourt, Mark Kinnucane, Ballinasloe work on installing new ceilings and electrics.
Tommy Gilchreest, Mark Kinnucane and Pat Cahill, Ballinasloe, work on reparing the electrics in Unit No. 4 Novinki.
Volunteers Ita Byrnes, Mary Hibbitt, Anne Glynn and Sandra Downling painted and decorated the children's bedrooms.
Husband & wife team Anne and John Glynn from Castleblakeney, Co. Galway. John and Anne have been to Belarus on a number of occasions and have hosted Chernobyl children in their home for many years.
The results achieved in just 5 days are shown here in one of the newly renovated rooms in Unit No. 4. The children have just been moved into their new surroundings. 130 new hospital type beds and cots have since been purchased by The Sunflowers Chernobyl Appeal.
The corridoors and rooms now finished by the men and women of The Sunflowers Chernobyl Appeal.
