Therapy & Craft Workshop For Boys At Novinki Orphanage
A room outside the walls of the institution which is attached to the laundry has been converted into a Therapy & Craft workshop by The Sunflowers Chernobyl Appeal. The room was completely renovated and rewired to accommodate power tools. New benches were made and fitted by Sunflowers volunteers. A power saw and various other craft tools were also supplied for the workshop.

The therapy and craft workshop was completely rewired with new ceiling, walls and special work benches fitted for special needs children. The Sunflowers created this craft workshop at Novinki Orphanage to teach the boys new skills and to get them out of the institution for a few hours each day.

Their teacher tells us that the workshop has also proven to be a great form of therapy for the boys. We engage the services of a full-time teacher to teach the boys woodworking and engraving. He has over 30 years experience in the field of therapy and has a great rapport with the young men.
